Acomplia Rimonabant review

Note: Acomplia has been withdrawn from the market worldwide.

This anti-obesity pill has been surrounded by controversy ever since it hit the market a few years ago. It is by no means a simple diet pill and is unlike any others on the market at the moment.

Ingredients

This pill is unusual in that it only has 1 ingredient, Rimonabant. This means then that it is a drug and is only available on prescription and is available in more than 50 countries. However, not all countries are fans of the drug. The odd thing about the drug too is that people say that it helps with tobacco addiction though this has yet to be proven.

How it works

There are receptors in the brain that control appetite and the energy that the body needs to burn fat. This ingredient suppresses the appetite and boosts the metabolism giving it a double edged angle at weight loss.

It is recommended that only those with a Body Mass Index of 30 or more take this pill, or those who have 27 or more but have an underlying illness like diabetes.

Possible side effects

If feeling dizzy or you have muscle cramps, nausea or stomach disorders when taking this pill, speak to a doctor immediately. Also note that the pill has to be taken on an empty stomach if it is to have any effect whatsoever.

Some people have experienced other side effects while on this pill. Some will have extremely deep depression, rage, crying over nothing or the urge to hurt someone else or themselves. Coupled with these symptoms, some people will have thoughts of suicide or a deep psychosis. This is probably why doctors have to prescribe the drug.

Conclusions

Although some people will risk all to shift some weight, they must understand that Acomplia Rimonabant is a serious drug and could have devastating consequences in the long run.
